The principles, and the devices we use

A target approach to moving selected teeth
Before you decide
Your treatment plan depends on your teeth and gums.

Over twenty years in orthodontics I have learned from many teachers. The approach I follow most closely is the rapid, bio-creative orthodontics taught by Professor Kyu-Rhim Chung, and it has given our patients good results.

Professor Chung developed this as an original orthodontic philosophy. Its basis is designing the forces around the physiological process by which teeth move.

He developed three core devices — the C-implant, the C-tube and the C-plate — and taught how to treat with each of them. He also introduced techniques such as corticotomy under local anaesthetic, so that teeth can be moved effectively in adults without resorting to unnecessary jaw surgery.
